Ray and I took a romantic long weekend trip to the Hill Country over Thanksgiving. I had booked The River Inn Resort online and wasn't sure what to expect. We drove up (yes after a couple of wrong turns) after dark and as we crossed a low water crossing on the Guadelupe River, I could see lots of twinkling lights coming up on the left all reflecting in the river. I said, "I hope that's where we're going!" and it was. It was a pleasant surprise!. We are booking a weekend in June and hope lots of people will be able to join us. It would be a great place for a family reunion, friend trip, girls weekend... it's great.
