It's been a while since last posting. Mom is doing great~! Her hair is growing back and she is using a cane more now and less walker. Her positive attitude is what keeps her going and her sense of humor keeps us in stiches most of the time. Her 84th birthday is tomorrow and she is by far the most open minded 84 year old I've ever known. If you don't believe me, just ask her!
We are going to a birthday dinner tomorrow night for Mom and a BUNCH more of us who have birthdays very close together. Mom and my brother Steve's birthdays are tomorrow the 6th, mine is the eighth, Ray's was the 27th, and so on, and so on. 12 of us are going to dinner so I'll have a restaurant review on the next blog. We're going to Kyoto, Japanese/hibachi place in Rockwall. I'll also have some stylish pictures of mom with her burr.
On Fathers day... yes it's been a while, we had a pretty large crew over to celebrate. All our kids, except for daughter in law Amanda who has to work way too much, cousin Cindy who was in town, nieces, nephews, great nieces and our favorite 2 grandsons really enjoyed the afternoon. We also had a mini 2nd birthday party for grandson Jake. Pops had the pleasure of trying (for about 30 minutes) to get his new dumptruck out of its tamper resisitant packaging. I think the below picture of Jake's face says it all.
oh yea, the treadmill still sits waiting my happy feet to utilize its purpose..... right.
