NGHS weekend

Friday night was homecoming for my alma mater, North Garland HS.  Met up with some high school friends and went to the game and then dinner.

One other difference is the size of the mums.  These are no longer real flowers like ours used to be... they are now the size of a king sized bed pillow!!! This is my mum from 1976 homecoming.  Real flower AND we wore them on our beautiful dresses!!!!!

High school football in Texas was the thing during my high school years.  Today, it's a little sad.  There's is no one at the games.

It was also 8th grade band night and Kayla was in charge of getting the Jr. High group all settled.
now, granted, this was pregame for the homecoming stuff but there were still very few people.  It really is sad.

Then there was getting all dressed up for the dance.
After the game us older ones headed to downtown Garland for some yummy mexican food.  My diet is suffering.

Saturday night we met up with even OLDER NG friends. Ray's class had a get together to hear the band Remedy at Sullivans Steak house. Lots of fun visiting and dancing.

Ray's good high school (and junior high) friend Greg is on the right.  Great guitar player.

another friend of Ray's for years and years, Kim.

These guys have known each other for a very long time
